Description

ZEKS ZFC235 ZFC™ Threaded Compressed Air Filter (235 SCFM, 1 1/2" NPT)

The ZEKS ZFC235 ZFC™ Compressed Air Filter is a maintenance-friendly, low pressure drop filtration solution designed to reduce contamination in compressed air and help protect pneumatic tools, processes, and equipment. Rated for 235 SCFM at standard conditions, this threaded inline filter uses a precision die-cast aluminum body with a corrosion-resistant coating and a patented smooth-bore insert to minimize turbulence and pressure loss. A patented dual-scale gauge displays differential pressure drop and operating efficiency to support element changeout planning and lower cost-of-ownership.

Technical Details

  • Flow Capacity: 235 SCFM (Rated flow at standard conditions: 100 psig operating pressure; 100°F inlet air temperature; 100°F ambient air temperature.)
  • In/Out Connection: 1 1/2" NPT
  • Drain Connection: 1/4" NPT
  • Maximum Operating Pressure: 250 psig MAWP
  • Element Grade Options: P (1 micron), G (0.1 micron), H (0.01 micron), A (activated carbon finishing)
  • Dimensions (A × B × C × D): 5.08" × 14.06" × 1.26" × 2.09"
  • Weight: 5.2 lb
  • Operating Temperature Guidance: Recommended temperature range: 35°F minimum (Grades P/G/H/A); 176°F maximum for Grades P/G/H; 86°F maximum for Grade A.
  • Air Quality Reference: ISO 8573-1:2010 (element grade selection supports targeted air quality outcomes)

Standard Equipment

  • Patented dual-scale gauge: Displays differential pressure drop and operating efficiency.
  • Die-cast aluminum housing: Designed for 250 psig MAWP service with 176°F temperature capability (Grades P/G/H).
  • Corrosion protection: Proprietary internal/external coating for harsh environments.
  • Low pressure drop airflow path: Patented smooth-bore insert directs airflow into the element with minimal turbulence.
  • Maintenance-friendly changeout: Bowl design enables no-touch filter element replacement with minimal vertical clearance.
  • Industrial condensate management: Brass float drain for reliable discharge of condensate and oil.

Filter Element Grade Options

  • Grade P – Particulate / Bulk Liquid Filtration: Removes dust particles down to 1 micron and coalesces bulk liquid; 0.6 psi Δp (dry).
  • Grade G – General Purpose Coalescing: Removes particles down to 0.1 micron and coalesces water/oil; max remaining aerosol content 0.03 ppm @ 70°F; 0.6 psi Δp (dry), 1.2 psi Δp (saturated).
  • Grade H – High Efficiency Coalescing: Removes particles down to 0.01 micron and coalesces water/oil; max remaining aerosol content 0.008 ppm @ 70°F; 0.8 psi Δp (dry), 1.5 psi Δp (saturated). Recommended that Grade H be preceded with Grade G filtration.
  • Grade A – Activated Carbon Finishing: For oil vapor and hydrocarbon odor removal; max remaining oil content 0.003 ppm @ 70°F; 1 psi Δp initial and final. Must be preceded with Grade H filtration. Replace Grade A elements every 3 months or 2,000 hours (whichever comes first).

Optional Equipment Adders

  • Head connection kits: Hardware kits to bolt two ZFC filters together (one kit per pair).
  • Wall mounting brackets: Brackets for wall installation of single or multiple filters.
  • Drain upgrades: Timed electric solenoid drain (115V; 230V available) for automated condensate discharge.
  • No-air-loss drain option: Enterprize™ no-air-loss drain (115V; 230V available) to remove condensate without continuous air loss.
  • Service/replaceable items: Differential pressure gauge and drain float valve replacement parts.

Key Highlights & Benefits

  • Protects equipment and processes: Reduces particulates, aerosols, and hydrocarbons when the correct element grade is selected.
  • Lower operating cost: Low pressure drop design helps reduce compressor energy consumption associated with filtration.
  • Fast maintenance: No-touch element replacement reduces handling and speeds service.
  • Flexible air quality targeting: Four element grades (P, G, H, A) support a wide range of ISO 8573-1:2010 air quality needs.
  • Durable construction: Coated aluminum housing and robust element design support long element life in industrial environments.
