Description
ELGi Pre Filter
Prefilter Stage
This prefilter element is intended for compressed air filtration to remove wet particles and oil aerosols ahead of downstream fine and carbon stages.
Coalescing pre filtration grade targets wet particles down to 1 micron and oil aerosols down to 0.1 mg/m³ (ISO 8573-1:2010 (2:-:2)). Verify compatibility using your ELGi equipment model/serial and service parts list before ordering.
Key Features
- Protects downstream stages by capturing bulk contamination first.
- Targets moisture-related carryover and wet particulate contamination.
- Helps manage pressure drop by preventing premature element loading.
- Supports preventive maintenance programs with routine replacement.

Frequently Asked Questions
ELGi Pre Filter
▶️ Question: What does this prefilter remove?
Answer: It targets wet particulates and oil aerosols and helps separate moisture before downstream stages.
▶️ Question: Is a prefilter enough for clean air?
Answer: Often it’s the first stage; add fine and/or carbon stages depending on your required air quality.
▶️ Question: Does it replace a dryer?
Answer: No. A dryer controls dew point; filters remove particulates/aerosols/vapours depending on stage.
▶️ Question: How do I confirm fitment?
Answer: Match the element to your housing size and service parts list.
▶️ Question: When should I replace it?
Answer: Use DP indication and scheduled maintenance intervals—annual changes are common, but conditions vary.
