IAC: Tell us about the air system at Strong Spirits before the oil free system supplied by IAC.
BM: Contracting with IAC to implement an oil free system at Strong Spirits was critical for us. We were originally running piston type compressors that were too small and not reliable for our bottling process. The compressed air is in direct contact with our customer’s spirits. Clean, dry, oil free air is a must.
IAC: So, explain how things have changed since IAC installed the new system.
BM: Compressed air is just not on my radar any more at all. We have increased or our production (4X) in a few short years. We realize our air usage will continue to grow as we continue to expand products and services to our valued customers. With energy prices rising we decided to follow
IAC’s recommendation to install a variable speed drive compressor. We now efficiently meet the demand of today’s production and future growth. With the addition of the VSD the production equipment runs smoother by holding a tight pressure band.
IAC: What has been your overall level of satisfaction with the program implemented by IAC five years ago?
BM: We could not be more pleased and impressed. Compressed air has gone from being a concern to a complete non-issue. As we continue to grow, we expect IAC will continue to be a great partner.
