How Does The New Tax Reform Bill Impact Your Upcoming Equipment Purchases? The Tax Reform bill (formerly known as the Tax cuts & Job Act) was passed in late 2017 and was designed to benefit businesses and the economy. The Act largely takes effect in 2018 and makes significant changes that will impact most businesses. The act included a lower corporate tax rate as well as special tax reduction for businesses taxed as pass-through entities (example: Sub S Corporations) along with regulations affecting how businesses account for deducting (or depreciating) the cost of equipment. These changes in how businesses depreciate the cost of equipment will benefit most businesses & could accelerate your purchasing decisions. |
IAC Open House And Product FairOn August 23rd, IAC hosted an Open House/Product Fair at our Jeffersonville, IN location, featuring the latest technology in the compressed air field all under one roof, as well as test booth opportunities for demonstration. There were representatives from each of our manufacturers present and available to answer all of our guests' questions. Our Open House was a huge success thanks to the support of our guests, vendors, and of course our employees. So why would an established company like IAC host an Open House? In February 2018, Sullair decided to end a 26 year relationship with IAC. While this came as a shock to all of us, IAC focused on the opportunities presented to not only expand our product offerings but increase our solution options for all of our clients. We did so without any interruption in service with the help of clients that have come to trust us and our employees that really made the transition a success. The feedback we received from the market was overwhelmingly supportive. IAC is unique relative to other distributors and company owned operations in our market as we are now not obligated to any one brand or supplier. IAC, along with your staff, will work to select the best equipment from one to several sources to build your system, based on an in-depth audit and that will provide the very best solution for your needs. All of this is important to attain the best combination of efficiency, reliability, serviceability, long life, rugged designs and lowest cost of ownership over time to all that IAC serves. |

Compressor Room Ventilation BasicsThere are several factors which will determine how your compressor will run in the hot summer weather. The amount of air provided to cool the compressor is one of the most important. Air cooled compressors are all cooled by an internal fan pushing or pulling air across a radiator style cooler. The compressor specifications always state a flow (in CFM) and an allowable static pressure (in inches of water column). An example would be 8000 CFM @ 0.25” H2O. |
